I was introduced to Rod in 2020 by a business colleague who had utilised his building expertise in both New Zealand and Fiji. I had purchased a 200 m2 apartment in Metropolis that my wife and I wanted fully renovated to a very high standard. Despite the objections from my project manager I decided to engage Rod on an open book charge up basis rather than fixed price contract. That decision was wholly vindicated with the quality and experience Rod bought to a c$1.2m project. He is a perfectionist and regularly proposed solutions or changes which our experienced interior designer had overlooked or could not be apparent other than on the job.

Rod worked long hours on a difficult renovation co-ordinating all sub-trades and delivered the quality we are proud to display today.

When we decided to gut and fully renovate our beach house at Whangamata in 2021 we knew Rod was the only person for the job. He moved there for 6 months and manoeuvred his way through Covid lockdowns and material shortages to honour his promise that we would be in by Xmas. Again, the quality and finishes were astonishing in a c$1m project- all family and friends could not believe the transformation and we are very proud to show off the product of Rod’s expertise on what was a more challenging assignment than even the apartment refurbishment.
